A guided walk to explore the riches of this ancient town and surrounding countryside. We'll take in the early 16th Century Guildhall with its richly carved woodwork, the church with its towering steeple, and the lovely River Dove and ancient fishponds at the site of a Benedictine monastery. You will learn from local historians about the ruins of the castle mound and how it shaped Eye – with an optional short climb to see the view over the town. Hear about the daring suffragette sisters who lived in Linden House, view a copy of the ancient Eye Charter, and see the Eye Coat of Arms in the Town Hall.

A walk through the fascinating and varied habitat of north Lowestoft, viewing a round tower church, ancient Beech trees, a woodland and meadows, heath, cliff paths and the beach.

Paths can be muddy and uneven. Coffee Rush kiosk available on Dip Farm to visit after the walk. The Lowestoft Maritime Museum and Sparrow Nest Café is 5 minutes driving distance. Car parking £FREE

Starting at East Town Park we take the route along the old Railway Line to Sturmer, head over fields towards Kedington with beautiful views over the surrounding countyside, through areas of badger activity and hopefully catch glimpses of local wildlife. We return through Calford Green to Haverhill.
