Orford Ness is an internationally important coastal nature reserve with a fascinating 20th-century military history. Walking with Andrew, our shepherd, and his sheepdog Sweep you’ll gain exclusive access to parts of the Ness, exploring the wildlife, history and management of the once Top-Secret Orford Ness. You’ll gain exclusive access to parts of the Ness on a unique walk with the Ranger, exploring the wildlife, history and management of this once Top-Secret Orford Ness. Walking will be over tarmac and concrete roads with some walking on shingle onto the beach. The walk includes a short ferry crossing which involves negotiating steep steps. There are no refreshments or café on Orford Ness.

This stunning Nordic Walk incorporates three Parish churches, Dalham Hall and wonderful views including that of Ely Cathedral. Starting in Moulton the path climbs up to Gazeley via a couple of stiles, along the ridge and then back down into Dalham, passing by each of the village churches along part of the Icknield Way, thought to be one of the oldest roads in Britain. This walk leads you through fields, woodland, short stretches of country lanes and by the River Kennett.

Toilets available at The Moulton Village Hall (CB8 8SP) before and after the walk. Please join us for lunch after the walk. The Moulton Stores can provide delicious filled rolls, pastries, coffee etc. or bring your own packed lunch. Car parking £FREE at St Peter's Church. Please park below the church (CB8 8SE).

Join River Stour Trust volunteers for a country walk in Sudbury, visiting historic sites including The Granary and three former water mills. Facts and local knowledge will be revealed to you during the walk which comprises sections of the old railway, the riverside and Ancient Commons Lands. A complimentary tea/coffee is offered after your walk at The Granary Tea Room. Proceeds go towards the restoration, conservation and education of the Suffolk and Essex River Stour Navigation.
