Click on a date on our calendar to see what's happening on that day
Walks are listed in date order (split by day), with information on distance and duration against each entry. Please check the symbol key (below) for facilities such as parking and toilets and whether dogs are allowed. Please note, all distances and times are approximations and whilst every effort is made to ensure they are as accurate as possible, there can be variations on the day.
Please select your walks with care. Pay special attention to the pace and fitness ratings: a slow pace walk may sound easy, but if spread over a whole day, it may require a moderate level of fitness. The festival is a great way to test your fitness levels. See if you can a walk a little further than you’re used to, but please be measured: if you’re new to walking this may not be the time to see if you can walk 18 miles in one day!
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of your walk to ensure it can leave on time.
Buying your tickets
It is essential to book in advance as each walk has a maximum group size and walk leaders are not equipped to take money on the day. All walks must be paid for in advance. Refunds will not be given unless a walk is cancelled by the organisers or their agents, or in exceptional circumstances.
Ticket sales for each walk close at 5pm the day before the walk.
Online Booking (booking fee applies)
Ticket sales are via TicketSource who charge a booking fee. This will be added to the cost of your ticket. Free walks do not incur a booking charge.

We know from experience that some post codes create confusion! So this year some walks and events include an OS grid reference and a ‘what3word’ (what3words.com) reference to pin-point the exact start location. ‘what3words’ is a free app that uses 3 random words to identify a precise location and then navigates you there using google maps.
Children (under 16) are welcome on most walks but must be accompanied by an adult. Please check the symbol for family-friendly walks.
Because some walks go through conservation areas we cannot always accept dogs. Where dogs are permitted, please ensure they are kept under close control and always clean up after them. Assistance dogs may be accepted where there is no dog symbol.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
All events must be booked and paid for in advance. Please note, walk leaders cannot accept money on the day. Refunds will not be given unless a walk is cancelled by the organisers or their agents or in exceptional circumstances.
If an event must be cancelled due to exceptional circumstances, we will endeavour to contact you beforehand. Please leave a mobile phone number and an email address when you book.
Whilst we endeavour to make all our walks as safe as possible, any event attended is done so at your own risk. Due care has been exercised in organising the WALKING FESTIVAL, however, the COUNCIL and sponsors accept no liability for loss, accident or injury caused to any person following the routes. You are advised to check your own personal accident cover before taking part.
You should choose walks within your capabilities; the walk leaders are experienced but must take your word that you are sufficiently fit for the grade of walk you have chosen. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the Suffolk Walking Festival partners reserve the right to change or cancel a walk without prior notice.
