I can’t wait for this year’s Suffolk Walking Festival to get underway – now I am retired I am hoping to get along to even more of the events than before! Whether you’re a confirmed walker or just fancy a bit of a stroll through our lovely county there really is something for everyone over the 2 weeks from 13th May 2023. In these tough financial times you’ll be pleased to know we are keeping the costs down as much as possible with many free events or with minimal charges. There are challenging walks for those who like to stomp a bit of a distance, but there are also less strenuous events where you will learn about the county’s history and environment… and often a chance to taste some of the delicious produce as well.

Save the date and keep watching the website and social media for more information and get ready book yourself in…. and tell your friends too. Mind you the festival is also perfect if you’re a bit nervous about heading out on your own – this is an ideal way of getting out walking with a safe group and you’re bound to make new friends at the same time as discovering new Suffolk haunts.
